We are pleased to publish some images from a recent presentation about the restaurant “MACELLO”. This project is located Ponte Milvio, Roma.  Architect Benedetta Gargiulo Morelli, who was just published in the Journal of Architecture PROJECTS ROME No. 11 was the interior designer on the project.

On October 13th, Architect Benedetta Gargiulo Morelli as the interior designer and Architect Alessandro Ridolfi, President of the Architects of Rome, and Director of the Design Studio Z14, in the role of designer, presented this project to a wide audience, illustrating in detail the compositional, structural, finishing and furnishing choices of the project, as well as the execution process of the construction site.

October 12th was the kick off of the event Open Day at the House of Architecture – home of the Order of the Architects of Rome. During this event there were meetings between the Architects and other professionals. This event gave them time for discussions about different services and new ideas eachother had.

At this occasion Architect Benedetta Gargiulo Morelli, presented as a delegate for International Affairs along with Architect Cristina Pacchiarotti. In 2008 ‘OAR started this program to internationalization Italian Architects. Since then this program has greatly implemented growth for everyone.

Architect Benedetta Gargiulo Morelli, has described what has been achieved abroad and what the organization intends to continue to do.

The program has already signed important agreements with equivalent organizations in European and non-European countries, containing the intentions for future cultural cooperation and economic, for an ‘opening of the members of ‘OAR. This gives members the ability to undertake new initiatives and projects to help expand their knowledge and creativity. We’ve tried, since this occasion, to find more opportunities for collaboration, both cultural and economic.

Colour House project published on “Progetti”

We are pleased to announce that the project “Colour House” has been published in the renowned Italian architectural magazine “Progetti  in its Rome Special Edition celebrating its 10 year anniversary. The residential refurbishment realised by Arch. Benedetta Gargiulo Morelli in 2008 has been selected for its creative and unique interiors as well as for its budget solutions. Other publications related to “Colour House” include:The 3rd Tongji Hub Youth Talent Designer  Exhibition – Designers’ Proposal for Their Own Lifeexhibition in the Shanghai Design Centre in 2014; “80 Voglia di Casa” – Casa Idea” exhibition in 2012; BBC “House Hunters International” (Leopard Production) channel in 2008.

ITAD Lesson – Beijing

The Architectural Design and Research Institute of Tsinghua University (Beijing, CN) invited Arch. Benedetta Gargiulo Morelli to give out a lecture on ITAD workshop in its School of Architecture on the 26th November 2015. It has been a great honour for ITAD to present in one of the most prestigious Chinese Universities. The lecture on “Invisible Rome” led its students in an interesting Q&A session between Sino and Italian architectural approaches to contemporary teaching and professional methods.

“Dialogue Between Italy and China on Architecture and Design” , Beijing

Arch. Benedetta Gargiulo Morelli attended the conference “Dialogue Between Italy and China on Architecture and Design” in the Architectural Design and Research Institute of Tsinghua University (Beijing) on the 25th November 2015. A number of projects that NOS Design is currently working in partnership with the office – Studio Z 14  – have been  presented to the Chinese audience. The conference theme explored contemporary design approaches led by both Italian and Chinese practices. Representatives of the Italian practices included the renowned  Arch. Michele Molè of Studio Nemesi , Arch. Paolo Desideri of Studio ABDR and Arch. Claudia Clemente of Studio Labics. The event was support by the Chamber of Roman Architects (OAR) and sponsored by the Italian Trade Agency (ICE).
