    The construction of Villa Quarz was intended to be a family home existing in an Italian context with influence from American architectural design. Villa Quarz was developed through inspiration from the famous American architect, Frank Lloyd Wright, and his own Fallingwater home. This project was intended to express a cohesive relationship between the exterior nature and the interior living spaces. The construction of the house uses wood where brick or concrete are most commonly implemented. Computer-Numerical-Controlled (CNC) machines were used to laser cut the renewable resource that locks up carbon rather that emitting it. Much of the exterior is constructed with the pleasing aesthetic of organic stonework and masonry, while the interior is finished in a slight off white color complemented with wood. As you experience walking through Villa Quarz, you notice how one becomes most engaged with the home when you enter the main great room on the first floor. NOS Design utilized computer based design and fabrication systems to allow the use of more complex angles capturing the essence of natural light in spaces by incorporating high lofted ceilings along with large expanses of windows and balconies. Its central spiraled staircase is an essential part of the interior located next to a bar on the first floor with an exceptional view of the property. The overall proposal of Villa Quarz encompasses the identity of NOS Design that demonstrates a dynamic design strategy in a client-first approach.
